WHAT NANI SAID
Speaking exclusively to GOAL, the former Portugal international detailed his club's preparation.
"I'm so excited (to be playing), we’ve been prepping with our teammates so we are starting to get to know each other, understand everyone's style of playing," he said. "We’ve been preparing and are excited to be here.
"This is our first tournament, and we know it’s a beautiful tournament We have players who have played futsal, 7v7, some who have played 11-a-side.. We are trying to put it all together. Its not easy, but the main thing is to have fun – it’s nothing to have pressure or to show something to anyone, it’s just to have fun, make people happy and enjoy the football."
Ahead of a highly-anticipated group stage match against Aguero, the winger said he hopes they can both "put on a show" for the supporters.
"It’s always good to create excitement for people who will watch the game," he said, "but I believe in the head of a lot of Man City and Man United fans, they want to see that – so I hope both teams can perform well on that day and put a show on the field. If we enjoy, we’ve already won the tournament."
